Its unfortunate that only 10 percent people who start freelance career turns into professional career and 90 percent failed to make an impact in this field. Freelancing is not difficult but it requires proper guidance and skill otherwise you are just wasting time here.

Professional Freelancer setup

One thing I want to tell you before reading the 5 Awesome Tips which I am going to tell you in just a moment to Become a Professional Freelancer is that freelancing is not an ATM machine where you start earning money without proper plan and skill. Yes you can find some easy jobs like Data entry and form filling jobs but soon you will be annoyed with these kinds of jobs because these jobs required very hard work and earn you very less money. So clear you mind now and be prepare for the journey full of adventure and tests.

Research and Learning

As I said above that Data entry and form filling jobs are easy but in long term these jobs are not going to help you because you cannot grow and learn from Data entry and form filling jobs. So you need to take some time and ask your self a question that which field attracts you more and what you want to do with your heart. The interest in your work is very important because initially you may do work with your energy but soon your energy will low down and some times many people lose heart.
So do some proper research before even thinking about freelancing because in future it will help you. Its generally a good idea that you take some courses in the field of your interest like if you want to create websites than start learning PHP, HTML, Java-script, CSS or Photoshop and soon you will be able to attract people. Also try to research in your favorite topic over the internet and find as many blogs as you can. Try to pick the ideas of different people what they are doing and what are the trends of the future.

Think like a Businessman

I know there are many differences between freelancing and business but if you treat freelance as your personal business than you may be successful in this field. In business one has to create models and brands in order to create your unique identity. Same is the case here, don’t just copy paste other work and ideas because initially you may earn some money but it will destroy your career in long term. Try to create your own brand with unique ideas and just stick to it.
Don’t just create brand names on your personal names, try to be professional and choose names based on your work. You can use important keywords in your brand name in order to make it more understandable for people. Brand name help you attract more people because no body wants to work with anonymous people. You should have decent contact form in which provide at-least contact email address, phone number or Facebook profile.

Create a Blog

In order to get more work create a blog with your brand name because this way people treat you like professional and give you more work. Give keywords related to your work in the domain name and install a good attractive theme in it. Your blog should have about me, contact us, portfolio page and some of your clients testimonials.
Also upload some of your work online and create a special portfolio page. This way users can see your work without contacting you and when they satisfied with your work than they contact you. Try to give some free service because people like free stuff and this way they can judge your work quality and your efficiency. Freebies can also be along with other paid content which also attracts people.

Time Management and Schedule

Now comes to the most important factor in any part of the life and that is time management. In freelancing most important thing is time and your clients will love you if you do their work on time. No body in this world wants to waste his or her time. You don’t need to work nine to five and sit in-front of your computer like a Zombie but thing is that you have to divide all your working hours in one single day.
So for time management you need to make schedule in which all your important daily life tasks as well as professional tasks should be written. For Scheduling you can use Google calender which is awesome tool in order to remind you about your daily tasks or even weekly and monthly. Google Calender will send you notifications via email and SMS which is really great feature. Also you can synchronize it with your smartphone running Android or IOS.

Learn the Art of Recognition

Its not about that you create your work and it will sell automatically. The hardest part of selling your stuff is how you grab the attention of other people in this era of competition. If you own a blog than try to blog more often on latest trends so that you can grab some visitors from search engines. This way when they visit your blog they can see your portfolio and if they like it they will buy your work.
Not only create blog but join forums related to your work, Facebook groups, social networking websites and email marketing. In modern era of freelancing you need to learn internet marketing in order to spread your word and attract customers. The internet is getting bigger and bigger but world is like a global village so you can find your customers easily if you do your home work regularly.
If you stick to the all five steps mention above than it not that difficult to become a Professional Freelancer and many people are earning from 1000 dollars to 10K dollars per month with this field so this means that your future is very bright.
